Queen's Gaels Recruiting

Interested for the 2009-2010 Season and Beyond

The Queen's Gaels Varsity Men's Hockey Team recruits players from a variety of backgrounds; whether it be retiring Junior players interested in continuing their athletic careers whil attending one of Canada's top universites, current Queen's Students, or incoming Queen's students.

Prospective Queen's Student Athletes

Queen’s University is one of Canada's leading universities with an international reputation for scholarship, social purpose, spirit and diversity. It is home to 18 faculties and schools. As such, a degree from any of these faculties is extremely valuable towards any career path. More information about the academic side of Queen's University, with all of the degree programs, can be found at Queen's Future Students Webiste.

Beyond academics, Queen's is home to a legendary campus atmosphere that is unmatched in Canada. This begins with the iconic limestone buildings which make up the Queen's University Campus in downtown Kingston, Ontario. Pictured right is Grant Hall, the building which has become known as the symbolic landmark of Queen's University. In addition to the traditional buildings, Queen's is also home to several new buildings which have combined the historical aspects of the University with cutting edge technology. This is no more prevalent than the Queen's Centre, the $230 million capital investment which will include a brand new arena for the Gaels.

Next come the students & their legendary spirit. This spirt has developed Queen's to the atmosphere that it has become today, and this spirit continues to be shown; from traditions like homecomming weekend, to the two oldest rivalries in hockey (Queen's-RMC and Queen's-McGill), to the Queen's Bands, to the Oil Thigh, and to the Queen's Student Ghetto & Aberdeen Homecoming Street Parties; the area to the north of the campus which is mainly comprised of student houses.
